New “Sea of Silence” models - UNITE with BLUE collection
CITIZEN Watch is releasing limited-edition models from a new themed collection, UNITE with BLUE, featuring structural colour dials with shades of deep blue inspired by the calm, glittering blue sea.
UNITE with BLUE Limited-Edition models
Experience the deep, calm blue of the UNITE with BLUE collection. Inspired by the concept of a “Sea of Silence,” the structural colour dials produce subtle color changes in response to light reflecting off the surface.
The pigment-free ink on the dial utilizes light reflecting off the surface of the microstructures in the ink to create a range of hues and tones. These unique dials were made possible thanks to Eco-Drive*2 technology that utilizes light as a form of clean energy to measure the passage of time. Four new models being released from CITIZEN ATTESA, CITIZEN PROMASTER, and CITIZEN Collection utilize different dial designs and processing techniques to create their own unique expressions of the ever-changing moods of the sea. Two new models from CITIZEN xC and CITIZEN L also feature diamonds representing air bubbles rising up from depths of the sea. The xC model uses lab-grown diamonds*3.

Platinum is a soft precious metal with Vickers hardness of 50-100 HV. CITIZEN’s proprietary surface hardening technology boosts this figure to 1,000-1,200 Hv. This treatment provides superior hardness as well as a bright, almost transparent, silver sheen to produce remarkably beautiful timepieces. (Vickers hardness of stainless steel is approx. 200 Hv).
Duratect DLC achieves Vickers hardness of 1,000-1,400 by creating an amorphous carbon hard film—mainly composed of carbon and hydrogen—on the surface of the material.
